Academic Education

Currently: Phd candidate in History of Art at the University of Vienna (Austria), Phd thesis on the depiction of clothing in eighteenth-century Ottoman painting, Supervisor Univ.-Prof. Dr. Markus Ritter.
 
June 2017: MA in History of Art at the University of Vienna (Austria), 1 (MA thesis on the depictions of women attributed to the Ottoman painter Levni in the album H.2164).

July 2013: MA with Honours in Arabic and History of Art (undergraduate Master's) from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland), 2:1 (MA thesis on the Ottoman sultan Mehmet II's use of portraits of himself for political ends).

Employment

University Assistant (Universitätsassistentin) for Islamic Art, University of Vienna, Vienna, since March 2018.

Research assistant for the research project “Centre and Periphery? Islamic Architecture in Ottoman Macedonia, 1383-1520”, instigated by Dr. Maximilian Hartmuth and funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), University of Vienna, Vienna, October 2016-June 2017.
