Teresa Kamencek BA MA is an art historian and currently a research assistant (PraeDoc) as part of the FWF project  “ArtVis. Dynamic Network Perspectives on Digital Art History“ at the Laboratory for Cognitive Research in Art Histoy (CReA). She graduated from the University of Vienna with a Master's degree on the connection between the establishment of abstract art and art historical surveys. Her research interests include mechanisms of art historical canonisation, art and theory of the early modern period and classical modernism, as well as social and data-based network analyses. Her dissertation project focuses on the temporal and geographical dynamics of modern artist groups.
