2003: Laurea (post-secondary academic degree in Italy), supervisors: Prof. Antonino Caleca, Prof. Ettore Spalletti

2005–2008: Doctor Europaeus: doctorate (Doctor of Philosophy) upon completion of a German-Italian joint-degree programme (thèse co-tutelle) at the University of Siena and LMU Munich (supervisors: Prof. Antonino Caleca, Prof. Steffi Roettgen)

2008–2010: Academic assistant to Prof. Michael Viktor Schwarz at the Department of Art History at the University of Vienna. Teaching assignments at the Department of Art History at the University of Vienna

2010 – 2013: Collaborator in the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) project Troy in the Trecento. Narration with Images, within the Image, and between Word and Image (Troja im Trecento. Erzählen mit Bildern, im Bild und zwischen Wort und Bild), led by Prof. Michael Viktor Schwarz

Since January 2014: Collaborator in the ÖNB-Jubiläumsfonds project Troja „after the Black Death“. Vier illuminierte Handschriften aus Venedig – Bilderzählung und Bilderfindung, led by Prof. Michael Viktor Schwarz
