The duration of the bachelor's programme in History of Art and Architecture at the University of Vienna is six semesters. Graduates are awarded the academic degree "Bachelor of Arts" (BA).
Unless part of the upper secondary school curriculum, Latin language proficiency has to be demonstrated by taking a supplementary examination by the end of the bachelor's programme.
The exact wording of the curriculum for the bachelor's programme was published in the University Gazette on 11 May 2011 (in German only).
The consolidated version is available here (in German).
The duration of the bachelor's programme is six semesters. This amounts to 180 ECTS credits. 120 ECTS credits thereof have to be part of the History of Art and Architecture curriculum, and the remaining 60 ECTS credits have to be part of other degree programmes (in the form of extension curricula). Extension curricula (Erweiterungscurricula, EC) enable students to acquire additional competences that are not part of their bachelor's programme (overview of all extension curricula). Information on alternative extensions (Alternative Erweiterungen) (15 ECTS credits in the entire programme) are available here.
Information on the various subject areas for some modules are available here (in German).
For students who are changing from the diploma programme in History of Art and Architecture (UG2002) to the bachelor's programme the equivalence list for extension curricula (in German) applies until further notice.
