Chao-Shan Hsu is a doctoral researcher at the Laboratory for Cognitive Research in Art History (CReA Lab), University of Vienna. He has an academic background in art history and the philosophy of mind. His primary research interest lies in understanding how people perceive and comprehend art. He approached this issue from historical, philosophical, and scientific perspectives. For his PhD, he uses eye-tracking technology to investigate how cultural factors influence the way people look at art.
