Studies of Art History, History and Philosophy in Berlin

1989:  Magister’s degree, title of thesis: Johann Friedrich Nette's “Adeliche Land- und Lusthäuser” (Johann Friedrich Nette's “aristocratic country and summer houses”)

1990–1995:  Academic staff at the Department for Art History at Freie Universität Berlin

1998–1999: Archivist at the Evangelical Central Archives in Berlin

1999–2001: Teaching assignments at the Department for Art History at Freie Universität Berlin

2001: Doctorate, doctoral thesis on the Forum Fridericianum in Berlin and the monumental places of residency of the eighteenth century

2002–2004: Academic assistant at the Historical Museum Basel, department of museum IT

Since 2004: Head of the photograph collection / new-media section at the Department of Art History at the University of Vienna
