Public defence

The doctoral thesis examination is to be held before a committee in the form of a public defence. It includes a presentation in which the candidate explains – in consideration of the reviews – content and results of the doctoral thesis.

In the subsequent discussion, the examiners ask the candidate questions about the doctoral thesis and the academic fields related to it.

Finally the public has the opportunity to ask questions about the presentation.
Duration of the examination: one hour.

Place of the examination: one of the seminar rooms, according to availability.
